yonesty app for organisation design, organisation development and organisation Intelligence

FAQ

Where is yonesty hosted in the cloud?

Applications and data are hosted by Keyweb AG in Germany.

Keyweb specializes in customized IT and web projects for companies and provides:

  • Personal project consulting by IT experts
  • High-quality 24/7 support with rapid response times
  • Individual managed IT services
  • TÜV-certified data centers in Germany

All yonesty data is hosted exclusively in German data centers, ensuring compliance with GDPR requirements.

The TÜV-certified data centers are protected by a comprehensive security concept designed to prevent data theft, outages, and damage caused by environmental factors.

All cloud and hosting services include advanced DDoS protection provided by the security provider Voxility.

In addition, Keyweb primarily uses open-source software for operating and managing its servers. This not only reduces recurring licensing costs but also contributes to a highly secure operating environment.

How is data security handled when using Yona, the integrated AI assistant?

Yona is a cloud-based feature and is not active by default.

To use Yona, you must explicitly enable it and provide an API key for the AI provider of your choice, such as Claude, ChatGPT, or another supported AI service.

When using an external AI provider, it is important to understand that data may be processed by that provider according to its respective terms, privacy policies, and technical architecture.

Organizations should therefore ensure that the use of Yona and the selected AI provider is aligned with their internal AI governance policies, security requirements, compliance standards, and data protection regulations.

This provides full transparency and allows each organization to decide whether, when, and how AI services should be used in conjunction with yonesty.

How well is yonesty documented?

yonesty provides comprehensive and practical documentation available at docs.yonesty.cloud.

The documentation includes detailed guides, use cases, best practices, ROI calculations, and business value assessments that help organizations understand and realize the benefits of yonesty. It is continuously expanded to support both users and leaders in successfully implementing and using the platform.

How does yonesty work with our VERDI collective agreement?

yonesty does not manage collective agreements or salaries. Instead, it manages roles and responsibilities across different levels as defined in the collective agreement and provides visibility into who holds which role.

When employees are promoted, the platform makes development opportunities transparent. Even if a move to a higher pay grade is not possible, individuals can continue to develop their skills and responsibilities rather than remaining stagnant.

We have already documented our roles in detail in Confluence. How does yonesty fit in?

yonesty links to existing documentation rather than duplicating it.

Detailed role descriptions, process documentation, and workflows can remain in systems such as Confluence. Within yonesty, these resources are connected and placed into a broader organizational context.

What does Talent Intelligence mean?

Talent Intelligence refers to the use of data, analytics, and technology to make informed decisions in talent management and workforce planning.

It combines information about current and potential employees with future market requirements to help organizations shape their people strategy and learning initiatives more effectively and with a stronger future focus.

Is there a job family comparison?

Yes. Similar jobs can be linked manually or suggested automatically based on similarities in activities, responsibilities, and skills.

Are there job levels?

Yes, yonesty supports role levels.

However, we believe that skill levels should be the primary focus. Traditional levels are often required as part of job titles, such as Senior Project Manager. These levels, however, are not the same as roles or skills themselves.

What personnel controlling and reporting capabilities are available?

All relevant information is available to managers in one place, making leadership, workforce planning, and employee development significantly easier.

Reporting at both employee and team level is available at the click of a button.

This eliminates manual reporting efforts and creates more time to focus on the topics that truly matter.

How much leadership efficiency can the app deliver?

The app supports the entire employee lifecycle, from hiring to departure.

We estimate savings of up to four hours per employee review cycle across HR, managers, and employees. Actual savings may vary depending on the organization.

Feedback discussions become easier to prepare, conduct, and follow up on, improving the overall quality of conversations while reducing effort for everyone involved.

How secure is personal data in yonesty?

Personal data is securely stored within the platform.

The application can be operated either within a company's own network or in the cloud.

Flexible access configurations ensure that users can only access the data they are authorized to view. All access activities are logged and can be reviewed at any time, for example in response to employee requests or works council audits.

What do works councils think about yonesty?

It depends on the individual organization.

So far, we have received positive feedback because data is no longer distributed through uncontrolled email exchanges but managed centrally in a single location.

In addition, employees are at the positive center of the platform. yonesty is designed to support good leadership and a positive feedback culture.

The concerns that are sometimes raised generally also exist with traditional electronic personnel records.

We already have an established position plan. How can we use yonesty to move toward role management?

You can begin by managing positions and assigning employees to those positions.

At the same time, you can gradually transition to role management by assigning one or more roles to each employee.

yonesty supports organizational development toward a modern, future-oriented leadership model.
